Making wine means engaging with nature every single day.
Wine comes from the land, but the territory is everything that surrounds it: the sun, the wind, the sea on the horizon. Taking care of it is part of the way we work.
That is why Grapur has chosen organic production and highly sustainable packaging, created together with our partners Vinventions, Verallia, UPM, Ondulkart and Luxoro. But it is also why we are taking practical action through Clean Up Days: dedicated beach clean-up events to remove waste from the shore.
What World Ocean Day is and why it matters
World Ocean Day is celebrated around the world on 8 June. Established by the United Nations, it is a reminder of the vital importance of our seas for the planet, and of the impact human activity has on marine ecosystems.
Oceans produce over 50% of the oxygen we breathe, regulate the climate and are home to extraordinary biodiversity. And yet, every year, millions of tonnes of plastic and waste end up in the water.
Grapur, Pescaria and Plastic Free: three organisations, one shared goal
To mark this occasion, we are pleased to announce that on 14 and 20 September, Grapur will be on the beach together with Pescaria and Plastic Free for the 2026 Clean Up Days.
Alongside us will be two organisations that share the same care for the sea and the territory:
- Pescaria, a contemporary symbol of coastal culture and an authentic connection with the sea.
- Plastic Free, the movement that every year clears hundreds of kilometres of beaches, rivers and green spaces of waste, involving thousands of volunteers.
